Jodette's Troupe, Jewel of the Nile, danced at the Grand Opening of the Open Market in Downtown Sacramento. They appeared in the
news on 3 different TV Stations in Sacramento and had a big article in the largest local newspaper...The Sacramento Bee. They also danced
in Downtown Davis, California.
The Good News - Every second Saturday of each month, Jewel of the Nile will be performing at Casa Blanca on Fair Oaks Blvd., and Rick's Diner on 24th and K in the Downtown area.
Sunday, July 9th, at 6:00 p.m. we will celebrate Jodette's Birthday with a Party at Casa Blanca on Fair Oaks Blvd. Since her birthday falls on the 4th of July and is a regular Holiday, Jodette will be busy feeding the Homeless.
The cost of the Party and Dinner is only \\$10.00! If you wish to dance, bring your costume and your favorite music. All Levels Welcome!
The Biggest News of All is that we have 2 of our students dancing in the Middle East right now! They have been gone for over 2 months. Another student is leaving America to go to the Middle East on June 13th

The Bellydancers of Sacramento had a great Christmas Party at Casa Blanca. Two of the dancers have danced for Top Officials, such as,
Senators and Government and State Employees. We also fed over 2,000 Homeless People at Christmas Time.
We had a great party at Casa Blanca to celebrate the Millenium 2000! We also fed over 3,000 hungry people to celeberate Ramadan.
We fed over 2,000 hungry people to celebrate Eid El Adha.
We had the Homeless Benefit Show and the Queen of the Nile Contest. In the workshops we had the Top Middle Eastern Bellydance Teachers in America and the Middle East. Badia of Cairo Egypt, El Asmar of Middle EaSt, Fahtiem of Los Angeles,Niran of Ohio, Kajira of Santa Rosa, Amina of San Francisco, Aziza of Sacramento, and Shaharazad of Sacramento.
We had 63 participants in the workshop for 2 days and over 400 for the evening show. Each year our festival is growing more and more!
